After a beautiful engagement shoot back in April, I was so excited to photograph Megan and Jonathan’s wedding day in Northwest DC . They are both professional musicians, and you could feel the anticipation mount as each participant arrived at Foundry United Methodist with a new instrument. They didn’t disappoint! The music in Megan and Jonathan’s ceremony included beautiful singing, a gorgeous brass sextet, and one of the most amazing viola performances I have ever heard. After the ceremony, we walked down the street to the historic Tabbard Inn, and got some great shots along the way. Megan and Jonathan were the kind of couple a photographer dreams about shooting—charming, beautiful, laid-back, and open to trying new ideas to make great images. Justin and I got to listen to a fantastic jazz trio while we shot the reception, and I can honestly say it was the most fun I’ve had shooting a wedding in a long time.
